Requirements
Can I be a surrogate?
These requirements exist to protect your health, and the health of the baby you would carry. Our application checks them for you in about ten minutes.
Requirements
You are 21 to 42 years old
The age range in which pregnancy carries the lowest risk for you.
You have had at least one healthy, full-term pregnancy
And you are raising at least one child. Knowing you have carried safely before is the best indicator you can do so again.
No more than 5 previous deliveries, and no more than 3 cesareans
In line with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine's guidance.
Your BMI is between 18.5 and 32
A healthy weight lowers the risk of complications such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.
At least 6 months since your last delivery
And not breastfeeding by the time of embryo transfer.
No nicotine, vaping, cannabis or drugs
For you, and in your home, for the length of the journey.
You live in a state where compensated surrogacy is supported
Your state's law governs your contract and the parents' parentage order.
You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
With a stable home, reliable transport, and people who will support you.
Where you live
States where we cannot work with surrogates.
We cannot currently accept surrogates who live in Louisiana or Nebraska, where compensated surrogacy agreements are prohibited or unenforceable.
If you live in Arizona, Indiana, please apply: the law there is less settled, and we review each application with an attorney.
We do not match surrogates who live in New York unless Angel Heart Surrogacy holds a New York surrogacy program license.
