Angel Heart Surrogacy

Screening

By the time you see her profile, she has already been through all of this.

We follow the American Society for Reproductive Medicine’s recommendations for gestational carriers, and in several places we go further. Here is exactly what every Angel Heart Surrogacy surrogate completes, and where our criteria are stricter than the guidance.

The screening

Six stages before a profile is written.

Angel Heart Surrogacy completes the first five. Your clinic completes the medical clearance after you match.
  1. 01

    Minutes

    Pre-qualification

Our online application checks the baseline criteria straight away, so that no one waits weeks to learn they are not eligible.
  2. 02

    Week 1

    Intake conversation

A call with a Angel Heart Surrogacy coordinator about her life, her family, her support, her motivation and what she hopes the experience will be.
  3. 03

    Weeks 2–5

    Obstetric and medical records

We obtain records for every prior pregnancy and delivery, with her written authorization, and have them reviewed for complications such as preterm birth, preeclampsia or hemorrhage.
  4. 04

    Weeks 2–5

    Background checks

Criminal background checks for her and every adult in her home, conducted with written consent under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  5. 05

    Weeks 3–6

    Home and support interview

A video visit to her home and a conversation with her partner, if she has one, about stability, childcare, work and who will help her during the pregnancy.
  6. 06

    After you match

    Psychological evaluation and medical clearance

A licensed mental health professional completes a clinical interview and standardized testing. Your fertility clinic completes her medical evaluation. Both must clear her before contracts are finalized.
