Angel Heart Surrogacy

Michigan intended parents

Surrogacy for Michigan families, finally at home.

Until April 2025, Michigan banned paid surrogacy outright. Its new law changed everything, and most agencies have not yet caught up. Michigan parents can now build their families with a surrogate in their own state.

Surrogacy in Michigan

What makes this the right moment.

A new law, and few established agencies

The Assisted Reproduction and Surrogacy Parentage Act took effect in April 2025. Michigan parents who once had to work entirely out of state can now match, contract and deliver at home.

Pre-birth parentage for every family

The law allows parentage to be established before birth, regardless of marital status, gender or sexual orientation.

Built-in protections

The Act requires independent Michigan counsel for both parties and a mental health consultation before the agreement is signed. Those are standard in every Angel Heart Surrogacy journey already.

Questions

What Michigan parents ask us.

Is paid surrogacy legal in Michigan now?

Yes. Since April 2025, Michigan permits and regulates compensated gestational surrogacy under the Assisted Reproduction and Surrogacy Parentage Act.

We started a journey in another state before the law changed. Does anything change?

Your existing agreement is governed by its own terms and state. For a new journey, you can now work with a Michigan surrogate. Your attorney will advise on your specific situation.
